COVID, Christmas Ornaments, and a Wish Come True
Updated: Dec 17, 2020
COVID became a lot more real last week for our family. My daughter tested positive for COVID-19.
For context, she lives in a home with 7 adults and 5 tested positive. My daughter, her boyfriend, and his sister immediately isolated themselves at a country farmhouse outside of the city. We've done grocery and pharmacy runs for them, dropping the goods off outside the home with no personal contact. Both her boyfriend and his sister have been struggling. They have a total loss of taste and smell and severe aches and pains in their back and legs. Fortunately, there was no need to go to the hospital. My daughter's case has been mild in comparison. All feel that they are inching back to health. They can come home on the 16th.
So I am calling my 2020 bingo card FULL. I want no more fuss before the end of the year and will sit back for a couple of weeks, recharge and finish off my UFO's so that I can start 2021 with a clean slate.
Don't forget that my Christmas Ornament Livestream will take place on Dec 17th at 7:00 pm EST, and it will be on my YouTube Channel. If you want to participate, please find the link below for the Supply List and Template. And click here for the link to the live stream. (Just remember that the stream starts on Dec 17th at 7:00pm EST, so even though you can click the link, nothing will be on the YouTube Link until the day of). Personally, with the lack of holiday gatherings, I am looking forward to sharing an evening with you and teaching you all how to make this keepsake.
All proceeds of the SUPERCHAT on the Livestream will be donated to the North York General Foundation. North York General was the hospital where my son received his cancer treatments during the first COVID lockdown. I am forever in the debt of the fantastic doctors, nurses, and staff that helped my son, my family, and me during this difficult time. You do not need to donate to participate in the Livestream; it is optional to help out this wonderful charity.
Finally, Janine Vangool was on my wish list of interviewees when I started my Quilt Circle series. I have loved her Uppercase Magazine for so many years, but I was nervous about asking her on the show. Then one of my viewers suggested asking her... her Aunt Brigitte! So I got up the courage to ask and was so thrilled when she said yes. I can't wait for you to see the interview. And if you are interested in subscribing to Uppercase, she has provided a 10% discount to all my viewers. Just follow this link (Good between Dec 28th until Jan 31st, 2021) https://uppercasemagazine.com/discount/justgetitdone
Now back to the UFO's...
